魅力的な粘土彫刻で、キリストの顔を自然サイズ（高さ23 cm）で表した作品。優れた造形表現と深い表达を特徴とし、目はのぞかせ、輪郭は理想化され、トスカーナ地方のルネサンス期の偉大な彫刻の模範を想起させる。

技法：すべて手作業で成形。彫刻の裏面には、指と棒を用いた粘土の手動スカリーロ効果が明確に跡づけられており、量産や工業的な鋳型は排除されている。

保存状態：作品は fragment（頭部・首の後方が欠けている状態）として提示され、現代的な修復や補綴はなく、残存する彩色の痕跡も見られない。

来歴：フィレンツェのアンティーク市場で購入。

Affascinante scultura in terracotta raffigurante il volto di Cristo a grandezza naturale (altezza 23 cm). L'opera si distingue per una straordinaria resa plastica e una profonda intensità espressiva, con occhi socchiusi e lineamenti idealizzati che richiamano i modelli della grande scultura rinascimentale toscana.
Tecnica: Interamente modellata a mano. Il retro della scultura mostra i chiari segni dello svuotamento manuale dell'argilla tramite dita e stecca, escludendo lavorazioni seriali o da calco industriale.
Conservazione: L'opera si presenta come frammento (mancante della parte posteriore della testa e del collo), privo di restauri moderni o integrazioni. Non si evidenziano tracce di policromia superstite.
Provenienza: Acquistata presso un mercato d'antiquariato a Firenze.
Misure: Altezza 23x22 cm.
