灰釉の灰土器で作られた一組の陶器埋葬用 mingqi。正方形の池形の器と、別成形の二羽のアヒルからなり、漢代に typical な牧場風景である養殖と家禽の営みを生き生きと捉えている。池は先細りの、斗形の形状をしており、内壁と底部には泳ぐ魚とナマズが這い上がる浮き彫りの粘土浮き彫りが施され、縁には水生生物が休む様子が付け加えられている。二羽のアヒルは丸みを帯びた胴体で塑像化され、羽毛は細かい刻刻の格子状の線で描かれている。一羽は首を上げて警戒的な姿勢を取り、もう一羽は前のめりに傾いている。腹の下には小さな支えがあり、池の中で独立して立つことができる。表面には長い年月を経て環境風化の深い痕跡があり、厚く斑状に覆われた天然の黄土色のコーティングと暗色の錆様の皮膜が何世紀にもわたり蓄積している。縁は柔らかく丸められ、長年地下水の作用で僅かに侵蝕され、乾燥して熟成した土器の本体が露出している。この作品は飾り過ぎないが生き生きとした芸術言語を示しており、古代の農耕生活の静かな monumentality（ monumentality＝具象的な壮大さ）と歴史的な魅力を伝えている。
