This work in the format 80 x 80 cm x 4,5 cm is created on a wide, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.

In the light, the surface reveals a clear presence. Depending on the incidence of light and the viewing angle, structure and depth change, individual layers stand out more. The work feels spatial and physical - perception arises while walking, standing, and lingering.

Frequency COBALT ON UMBER - Sculpture of Light, Structure & Presence

Frequency COBALT ON UMBER is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I translate rhythm, pause and repetition into a visual structure. Here a cool cobalt is set over a warm umber ground, and the two never quite settle against each other. The intervals are wider and slower than in the lighter works of the series, and the warmth underneath keeps rising through the blue as the light moves across the surface.

Artwork details:

Title: Frequency COBALT ON UMBER
Size: 80 x 80 cm x 4,5 cm

Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel texture paste on canvas, built up in layers with various spatulas. The pigments form elevations and overlays with a calm, pulsating tension.

Only the highest quality materials are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex - all produced locally in Austria.

Frame: The work is stretched on a stable primed canvas and set in a wide hanging frame of solid natural wood, which is included in the price. It can be hung directly on the wall.

Images: The pictures were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the piece under direct or indirect light to fully reveal the color play and give the works vitality.

To foster a better understanding of the works and the interplay of light, I encourage buyers to view the videos of the various works on Instagram at @sarah.schwarzl.art.

Signature & Authenticity: Hand-signed on the back. Delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Location: Directly from the artist's studio in Vienna.

Market presence: Comparable works are in private collections and galleries at a price range of EUR 2,500 - EUR 3,000.
