この壮観な標本は、質の高い美観の方解石を産出することで知られる著名な地層・産地・鄭州（チェンジョウ）の由緒ある場所から来ており、色彩的にも美しい(calcite)の一例として特に印象的です。色がほとんどなく、透明度が極めて高く、内部の虹色の反射が美しい、丈夫な結晶群から成るカルサイトの優れた例です。作品の支配的な特徴は、典型的なスカレノヘドロン形から擬似六方晶形に至る大きく完璧に発達した結晶の存在であり、標本に強い三次元的存在感を与えています。
結晶は高い光沢を示し、表面には場所によって繊細な成長線があり、自然な結晶構造を引き立てています。いくつかのエリアはほぼ透明で、結晶 internal structure の一部をのぞき見ることができ、透明感を強調しています。
構成は非常にバランスが取れており、中心の支配的な結晶を補うように小さく美しく配置された結晶群が、豊かで満ち足りた外観を作り出しています。全体の印象はエレガントで清潔感があり、収集家にとって非常に魅力的です。
