Xiaoyang Galas (XX-XXI) - Summer sunset

Xiaoyang Galas is a Chinese artist living and working in France. She studied Fine Art (Painting) and holds an MA in Chinese Art History and Art Criticism from Sichuan Academy of Arts, China. In his paintings, Xiaoyang seeks to bring East and West together. His technique, using a mixture of acrylic, oil, collages mixing fabrics, papers, textures, can give an impression of jumble. The artist also uses writing: Chinese, French and English characters, and lyrics used in the Holy Bible. “There is so much darkness and sadness in this world, I don't want to paint the dark side anymore. I would like my art to contribute to the beauty of this world ... to bring warmth to the hearts of men ... to be a message of peace and love ... " "For me, life is a journey with a purpose, art is a game with meaning." The artist artistically expresses the only hope of conveying a message of peace and love.
