An authentic Japanese antique Kiri Tansu (clothing cabinet) expertly hand-crafted from natural Paulownia wood (Kiri).

Internal Design & Structure:
Opening the double front doors reveals a highly functional interior fitted with four shallow pull-out sliding trays (Isho-bon), historically designed to store delicate kimonos without folding them. The lower section features two deep drawers for extra storage. The doors and drawers retain their original minimalist brass handles and locking escutcheon, offering a clean, modern aesthetic.

Paulownia wood is renowned in Japan for its remarkable lightweight yet durable properties, as well as its natural resistance to humidity, insects, and warp. The exterior showcases a raw, weathered wood grain that embodies the authentic Wabi-Sabi philosophy.
