花瓶 - Bronze - China - Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) - 17世紀、宣徳年製

A fine Chinese bronze vase with lion handles, Xuande mark to the bottom.
→ 洗練された中国の青銅の花瓶で、獅子の把手が付く。底には宣徳年製の銘がある。
Qing dynasty, 17th century.
→ 清朝、17世紀。

The squat body resting on a spreading foot, with two finely-cast leonine mask handles applied to the shoulder and up the thin tall cylindrical neck rising to a trumpet-shaped mouth, the surface of the bronze with a warm patina, the base with a recessed rectangle containing an apocryphal six-character mark Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi.
→ 低く平たい胴は広がる台座の上に据えられ、肩には二つの精巧に鋳造された獅子のマスク型把手が付けられ、細長い筒状の首が高く伸び、トランペット形の口部へと続く。青銅の表面には暖色系の錆色を帯び、底部には窪んだ長方形があり、偽作の六字銘「大明宣徳年製」が刻まれている。
