Description from the seller
2 ボトル ドン・ペリニヨン
Top Campagne 2008 Dom Perignon - must have!
Falstaff has rated the champagne with 100 points in the 2019 tasting, that means "outstanding":
Light golden yellow, silver reflections, fine, persistent mousseux. Underpinned with a fine brioche touch, nuances of yellow tropical fruit, a hint of peach and pineapple, citrus zest, discreet blossom honey, nutty roasted nuances, but also floral-mineral notes. Complex, juicy, pleasant extract sweetness, pleasant fruit notes, spicy nuances, finesse-rich, tight acid structure, but perfectly balanced, salty-smoky touch, has great length and great development potential, simply great class.
The Decanter wrote after the release in 2019 (at this time i bought the bottle and storaged it vertical in a climate room with 15 degrees and 80% humidity):
Last year was the first time in Dom Pérignon’s history that a vintage was released out of sequence – the 2009 preceding this 2008. A key reason for this was that it was felt the 2008 needed more time. The product of a widely-acclaimed vintage, Dom Pérignon 2008 will be released as a special ‘Legacy Edition’ in late 2018, featuring the names of both chef de caves. The normal label will be released in early 2019.
