Three trilobate bronze arrowheads of Scythian origin, dating to ca. 625–550 BC, in good condition with sizes of 30–33 mm and weights of 3.49–4.63 g, acquired from a German auction house in 2024.

Reference: Dugaw, Lipschits and Stiebel, A New Typology of Arrowheads from the Late Iron Age and Persian Period and Its Historical Implications, Type T1.
During the Neo-Babylonian period, trilobate bronze arrowheads of Scytho-Iranian form spread across the Near East with armies operating between Mesopotamia and the Levant. Examples occur in destruction levels at Nineveh, Nimrud, Carchemish and Jerusalem, linking them closely with the campaigns of Babylonian forces and their Median or Scythian allies. Their design reflects the movement of weapons and military traditions across western Asia.
Provenance: Bought in 2024 at a German auction house. Purchase invoice on file; earlier ownership not recorded by the auction house.
