Here is a Dumoreau DM02 Salmon, an independent Swiss-made timepiece designed by architect and product designer Carlo Aiello, founder of Dumoreau.

The DM02 is a distinctive time-only watch that combines a refined dress-watch character with a highly original contemporary design. The salmon-colored dial is the defining feature of the watch, featuring a sophisticated two-part construction with concentric circular patterns at the centre and a finely brushed outer section.

A particularly interesting aspect of the dial is its typography and printing technique. Carlo Aiello created a dedicated typeface for the Dumoreau logo, giving the watch a coherent and distinctive visual identity. The fine lettering and minute track were printed directly over the lacquered, textured surface of the dial. Rather than creating a flat area to accommodate the logo, Dumoreau developed a method of printing over the existing circular pattern, preserving its continuity. Traditional hand-applied printing pads were used to achieve a crisp and precise result. This attention to detail is one of the most distinctive elements of the DM02 and is particularly impressive when viewed under magnification.

The dial is complemented by elegant blued leaf-shaped hands, creating a subtle contrast with the salmon background. The flowing, rounded case and twisted lugs give the watch a distinctive silhouette while maintaining excellent proportions.

The case measures 39 mm in diameter, only 9.5 mm thick and 46 mm lug-to-lug, making it a very wearable size for both formal and everyday use.

Inside is the Swiss-made hand-wound Sellita SW210-1, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. The movement features decorative finishing including Geneva stripes, circular graining, decorated winding components and blued screws. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

The DM02 is fitted with sapphire crystal on the front and caseback and offers 100 metres of water resistance. The case is made from polished 316L stainless steel.

The DM02 was produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces across the different dial variants and is now part of Dumoreau's discontinued previous-model collection. Its original retail price was USD 1,250.

The model received positive attention from specialist watch publications, including Fratello, Time+Tide, Monochrome and A Blog To Watch, with particular appreciation for its original dial design, proportions, finishing and overall concept.
