古代エジプトの木製葬送用仮面で、精巧に彫られた顔の特徴を備える。アーモンド形の目、まっすぐな鼻、穏やかに表現された口元は、エジプトの葬儀肖像画に特徴的な理想化された芸術スタイルを反映している。いくつかの小さな穴と道具の痕跡は、以前の取り付けポイントや、大きな棺またはカルトンヲンの構造体へと二次的に組み込まれていたことを示唆する。
原初の地塗り層と彩色表面の痕跡が一部に残っている。 heavily weathered surface, displaying age cracks, erosion, and wear, gives the piece a particularly authentic archaeological appearance.
この仮面は、最も可能性が高いのは人間型棺の一部、あるいは末期王朝からプトレマイオス朝時代（紀元前600年頃〜100年頃）に遡る大型の葬送装置の一部であろう。
状態: 破片状。長年の経年による表層の摩耗、収縮亀裂、風化、旧損傷、軽微な損傷を伴い、彫刻は良好に保存されている。原初の下地層と多彩な顔料の残りが局所にまだ見られる。
来歴: ドイツのマドレーヌ & エリヒ・ダマンコレクションに以前所在。1950年から1970年の所有者の広範な旅行中に取得。1970年までドイツで文書化され、その後も継続的に家族所有のまま保有されてきた。
