A lovely antique Chinese porcelain Large Famille hexagonal large lidded tea caddy, symbolizing the scholars rewards; with a central decoration of beautiful Ladies in Landscapes and Valuables - the 100's Valuable Scholars Treasures (Vases, Censers, Brush Pots Bitong, Books), in Square and Ruyi Shaped Panels; also with abundant blossoming flowers on cliffs with dragonflies in vibrant tranquillity Landscapes, executed in beautiful overglaze famille verte oxides and enamels. Rich use of the Imperial yellow colour. In the border a classical decoration of Flowers, Foliage and Root patterns. An elegantly shaped opening. Handcrafted in ancient Imperial China during the Qing dynasty, early Kangxi period (1662-1722).
Provenance: From an important Dutch private collection.
Height: 30,6 centimeter
Condition: The pot is in very good condition, without any damages, the lid with two hairlines. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
