吉田美野里による camellia 設計のユリキンサイ花瓶 — 生活文化財 — 元箱付きの友箱付き
日本のユリキンサイ（ underglaze gold leaf inlay）の第一人者であり、生活文化財に認定される美術作家・吉田美野里による繊細な陶器の花瓶。底部に「Minori」と署名され、穏やかに湾曲する FORM と柔らかな緑釉地の上に、清澄な金箔で展開された椿の花と枝が光のように浮かぶ釉薬で覆われています。発色は層をなす金箔を手で切り分けてから焼成前に配置し、深みと煌めきを生み出す吉田独自の技法で、コレクターの間でも高く評価されています。元の友箱付き。
【Artist Profile】
吉田美野里（1932年生）は石川県小松市に生まれ、九谷金襴（kinrande）色絵を得意とする家元窯で育ちました。高校生の頃から家の陶技法を学び、1951年には三代目頭首として家元窯を継承。伝統的な上絵付と金彩の技をさらに研鑽しました。1972年、生活文化財のカトー一由のユリキンサイ作品に触発され、同技法の研究と改良に専念。様々な厚さの金箔を繊細にカットして遠近感を生み出し、透明釉の下に封じることで金の輝きを長く保ち、変光を避ける手法を確立しました。2001年にはユリキンサイの第一人者として生活文化財（重要無形文化財保持者）に認定され、同年紫綬褒章を受章しました。
