おそらく神アトラスを描いたブロンズの華麗な像で、円形の台座の上にひざをつき、腕を天に向けている（かつてはその手元に天球を支えていたはず）という、非常に精密で美しい緑がかった patina を持つ非常に魅力的な彫像です。
