— ntsoko 短剣はモンゴ系世界の北東部、Ngandu、Saka、Lalia、Kuruに属する集団由来のものです。このモンゴの複合体の鍛冶職人は葉形のナイフを多様に作っており、この個体は槍の先端にも見える形状です。主に名誉武器として用いられますが、戦闘にも用いられました。Peter Westerdijkは、これらのナイフは「サカ族とその周辺のすべての成人男性が所持していた」と述べています（Jan Elsen『鉄と誇り』- 2003； Peter Westerdijk『アフリカの金属道具』- 1984）。
