A beautiful, authentic handwoven Afghan Herat kelim carpet from the renowned "The Pelma Collection" is offered. This flat-woven carpet has a powerful, tribal look with a bold design of stepped diamond medallions. The geometric motifs are rendered in a rich, traditional palette of deep brick red, indigo blue, charcoal black, forest green, and cream-white accents.
Origin & Authenticity:
This piece features the original, officially numbered Certificate of Authenticity on the back (Certificate No. 132375). The certificate explicitly states the origin as a hand-made "Herat Kelim", originating from the historic weaving center Herat in Afghanistan. The carpet was at the time brought to Europe via The Pelma Collection’s specialized import network.
