Byzantine ceramic hand grenade with incised decoration, featuring a hollow globular body, a short neck and small mouth, a hexagonally dotted shoulder pattern, and an alternating vertical and dotted-cross body motif, dating to circa 9th–11th century AD, dimensions W 8.6 cm x H 10.7 cm, in good condition and authentic from an ex-private UK collection acquired in the 1990s.
