素晴らしい Solnhofen産の石灰岩の一片。バイエルン州の Solnhofenは上部ジュラ紀の石灰岩で有名な場所です。
広いクリーム色の表面には、岩石の自然な不連続面に沿って発達した Psilomelano のダンドリティの顕著な形成が走っています。その分岐は密で明瞭で、樹木やシダ、小さな植物風景を思わせる形状をなし、魅力的な自然の模様を作り出しています。
ダンドリティの濃い色調は石灰岩の淡い地肌と鋭く対照し、一部の地域には茶色や錆色の色調が鉄の酸化物の存在を示しています。鉱物化の分布は表面の大部分に及び、細部まで観察しても特に優雅に見える標本です。
片材の大きさが十分で、ダンドリティの発達が非常に目立つため、鉱物コレクションにも展示にも適した、視覚的に強いインパクトを持つ標本です。
