Part of the Living Stones series, this work explores the fragile balance between softness and structure. Translucent fields of green, dusty pink and magenta meet at delicate points of contact, while the exposed raw canvas forms a sharp opening within the composition. Applied directly onto unprimed cotton, the fluid pigments soak into the fibres, creating subtle gradients, blurred edges and organic textures that preserve the movement of the painting process.

Anna Bila is an Ukrainian artist whose work explores themes of childhood, adolescence, memory, and the perception of the past — not as something static, but as something continuously reinterpreted through the lens of the present.
