Imperial Russian 84 Silver Tobacco Box / Cigarette Case, Moscow, 1883. Crafted in the classic trompe-l’œil style, imitating a paper tobacco package with the inscription "ТАБАКЪ КУРИТЕЛЬНЫЙ" (Smoking Tobacco), tax stamps, and "1/4" weight designation.

Assayer: "В·П / 1883" — Vasily Petrov
Silver Standard: "84" золотников (875 silver).
Maker's Mark: "ВП" in a rectangular punch (stamped on both lid and base).

Excellent antique condition. Original steel spring and hinge are fully functional; push-button closure works smoothly. Crisp engraving and hallmarks throughout.
