Haluya Yoshida(1975-)

Artistic Concept
The artist’s work begins with an exploration of traditional Japanese ceramic techniques and materials, which are then expressed through a contemporary style.
His unique glazes—developed through exhaustive research into the blending of diverse mineral ingredients and high-temperature firing—produce exceptionally vivid colors that are a distinctive hallmark of his work.
At the core of his creative theme is the idea of ​​fully appreciating the richness of ordinary, everyday life and living joyfully.
He seeks to reconstruct and redefine culture by creating a unique fusion of Japanese ceramic traditions, global art, and pop art.
He uses two types of signatures: "Haluya" (handwritten) and "HAL" (applied via stencil or stamp).

1975 Born in Kanagawa, Japan.
1998 Gradueted from Tokyo University of Arts,Department of ceramic art.
2000 Completed a master’s course of same University’s graduated school.
2008 Built a kiln (kerosene kiln) in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
