Description from the seller
Æ (XX–XXI) – Kurt Cobain – Collector’s Bundle (Set of 3) – Hand-finished, signed, numbered & CoA
BUNDLE!! You are bidding on 3 original artworks from Æ’s Music Icons Series, dedicated to Kurt Cobain, one of the defining figures of alternative rock and the grunge generation. Each artwork is hand-finished, hand-signed and individually numbered from a limited edition of only 10 unique variations.
Æ’s Kurt Cobain series presents the musician through three powerful monochrome compositions, moving between intimate guitar moments and raw live-performance imagery. Together, the three works explore the fragile intensity, introspection and uncompromising presence that became inseparable from Cobain’s artistic legacy.
Rendered through Æ’s distinctive ink-inspired visual language, the works combine deep blacks, distressed print textures, expressive contrasts and deliberately imperfect surfaces. The rough graphic treatment recalls underground music posters, photocopied ephemera and independent print culture, creating a visual language closely connected to the alternative scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Presented together, the three artworks form a striking collector-oriented tribute to Kurt Cobain and the visual mythology surrounding Nirvana, balancing vulnerability and confrontation, intimacy and performance.

Artist and designer Æ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies (Barcelona, 2004) and a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies. Drawn to visual experimentation from an early age, Æ has been creating since the era of 1980s computer graphics, developing a unique aesthetic influenced by minimalism, conceptual art and skateboard graphics. His works are featured in private collections across more than 30 countries, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Notably, his pieces are also part of public collections, such as the Oriental Art Collection at the Zaragoza Museum (2024), home to Spain’s most significant collection of Eastern art.
Æ’s artwork is defined by its minimalist style, employing a restrained palette and simple forms to convey profound emotions and ideas. His frequent use of stark, high-contrast imagery accentuates the interplay between light and darkness, hope and despair. This minimalist approach fosters an atmospheric and sometimes unsettling quality that amplifies themes of isolation. Through this pared-down aesthetic, Æ achieves a powerful emotional impact with minimal imagery, creating a visual world rich with symbols, East Asian characters and iconic imagery.
The artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibitions art curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises):
“Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing, an invisible border, to merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past, looking down and in the same second, rocking! the work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for an emotional teleportation that we live and see in ‘Black and white’! Æ2381 pushes you to jump into a void, in fact, populated with images, symbols, unexplored signs that propels us to a Real Timeless!”
