During the Neo-Babylonian period, trilobate bronze arrowheads of Scytho-Iranian form spread across the Near East with armies operating between Mesopotamia and the Levant. Examples occur in destruction levels at Nineveh, Nimrud, Carchemish and Jerusalem, linking them closely with the campaigns of Babylonian forces and their Median or Scythian allies. Their design reflects the movement of weapons and military traditions across western Asia.

Provenance: Bought in 2024 at a German auction house; previously in a private collection (further details not documented in our records). Purchase invoice on file.
