この物は把手の付いた陶器の杯（または小さな壺）で、ヘッセン（ドイツ）産のもので、16世紀/17世紀に遡ります。この時期のヘッシッシュ陶磁器の特徴は鉛釉の使用と特定の装飾技法です。この特定のタイプの杯は内側と縁に粗く粉砕したような質感を示し、釉薬の緑がかった色調と茶色の濃淡が、中世末期から近世初頭の焼成過程を特徴づけます。
