豪華な小さなふくらみの花瓶（全面）を中国磁器にフランベ釉／牛の血のような赤で施したもので、形状から「蜂の巣」とも呼ばれます。
釉の下には青色で四字の賛辞銘文（“吉言赞颂款”）が二列に配されており、読みは「益友鼎」玉雅製（Yì yǒu dǐng yù yǎ zhì）です。自由訳すると「玉のように優雅で宝石のように貴重な、古の三脚のスタイルで良き友のための品」となります。
胴がふくよかで扁平な形、口縁は細く短い花瓶です。深紅の濃厚な単色釉を厚く光沢仕上げで施し、焼成由来の褐色・暗色の変化やニュアンスが見られます。底部には透明で光沢のある釉が施され、細かく自然に入ったひびの網目が磁器の素地を清潔に露出させ、支えのリングがわずかに出っ張って整えられています。底近くの釉薬の覆いが不完全なため磁器が露出している箇所は製造上の欠陥であり、破損・損傷ではなく、非常に良好な状態の品です。
