Rare and kind of cute explorer space toy from Masudaya. It seems like its a female astronaut who is the driver - see photos.
This explorer was produced in 1962 by Masudaya. It was the first rocket shaped space toy that would be followed by a lot of battery operated rockets. So it's kind of a prototype for the series of explorer. This one is friction powered rocket and have a loud clicking sound as it moves forward.

The explorer is in a very good condition and the friction works very well.
