オパールは比較的低温で析出し、岩石のひび割れのほぼあらゆる場所で見られることがありますが、最も一般的にはリモナイト、サンドストーン、リオライト、マール、玄武岩などとともに見つかります。貴オパールだけが内部色の多様な相互作用を示します。
