帝国様式の完璧な扉付きセクリテール（セクリテール・ア・アバタン）で、19世紀に遡る品です。家具は高品位のマホガニー（または木目の美しいウォルナット）を用いた堅牢でしなやかな構造を特徴とし、元の薄い大理石の天板を載せています。前面の柱には、二つの洗練された円柱が、金色に仕上げられたブロンズのキャピタルと装飾ディテールで飾られており、時代の新古典主義の趣を典型的に表しています。中央部には大きな開閉扉が備えられており、開くと快適な執務机として機能します。内部には棚付きのオープン・コンパートメントがあり、元々は文書や手紙の収納を目的として内張りが施されていました。下部にはブロンズの錠前と指輪型取っ手が付いた三つの大きな引き出しが並び、優れた収納 Capacityを提供します。

Elegant Empire-style drop-front secrétaire (secrétaire à abattant), dating back to the 19th century.
The cabinet features a solid and slender structure in precious mahogany (or richly veined walnut), topped by its original light marble slab. The front pillars feature two refined full columns enriched with finely crafted gilded bronze capitals and decorative details, typical elements of the neoclassical taste of the era.
The central part is equipped with a large flap which, once opened, serves as a comfortable writing desk. Inside, there is an open compartment with shelves, originally lined and intended for storing documents and correspondence. The lower part offers excellent storage capacity thanks to three large drawers equipped with bronze escutcheons and ring handles.
A piece of antique furniture of great charm and visual impact, perfect for enriching a study, a living room, or an elegant entrance hall.
