Traverseは、暖かく触感のあるオフホワイトの場を通り抜ける単一の黒い形を軸に構成された、抑制の効いた抽象作品です。

黒い通路は表面をわずかな不規則さをもって横切り、硬直的にも幾何学的にもならず、力強いグラフィック対照を生み出します。

周囲のアクリル層には塗り跡が残り、微妙な色調変化が生じているため、淡い領域に奥行きと質感が生まれます。

その向きによって、黒い形は大きく横断する軌跡、通路、または垂直な構造要素として読めます。

作品は水平にも垂直にも展示でき、展示空間に応じて構成の表情を変えます。

About the Artist
MiLo is a Dutch contemporary artist whose work combines abstraction, graphic structure and tactile painted surfaces. His paintings are characterised by restrained palettes, layered acrylic fields and strong gestural or linear elements. His work is held in private collections throughout Europe and internationally.
