この削除は、1944年に新しい刻印が導入される以前に製作されたことを示しており、おそらく1940年のイタリアの戦時突入前であると推定される。

An exquisite handcrafted centerpiece with an embossed border featuring rocaille and plant motifs—a splendid example of period Italian design for collectors.
The hallmark shows the silver fineness (800) and the hexagon containing the silversmith's serial number (39), the province code (PA = Palermo), and the abraded fasces, namely the fascist emblem deliberately erased by the maker to comply with the 1944 law prohibiting the use of fascist symbols.
This erasure demonstrates that the piece was certainly produced before the introduction of new hallmarks in 1944, and presumably before Italy's entry into the war in 1940.

Ce centre de table exquis, réalisé à la main, présente une bordure repoussée ornée de motifs rocaille et végétaux. Il constitue un splendide exemple du design italien de l'époque, idéal pour les collectionneurs.
Le poinçon indique le titre de l'argent (800) et l'hexagone contenant le numéro de série de l'orfèvre (39), le code de la province (PA = Palerme) et les faisceaux effacés, ou l'emblème délibérément effacé par le fabricant afin de se conformer à la loi de 1944 interdisant l'usage du symbole fasciste.
Cette effacement atteste que la pièce a certainement été produite avant l'introduction des nouveaux poinçons en 1944, et vraisemblablement avant l'entrée en guerre de l'Italie en 1940.
