THE PEOPLE by KISHIN is an official large-format exhibition catalogue and photobook by renowned Japanese photographer Kishin Shinoyama (篠山紀信, 1940–2024).

Published in connection with the major travelling exhibition THE PEOPLE by KISHIN, the book brings together more than 130 photographs selected from approximately five decades of Shinoyama's career.

The photographs focus on the theme of “people” and include portraits of many major figures who defined their respective eras, as well as documentary images reflecting modern Japanese history. The publication is an extensive overview of Shinoyama's distinctive approach to portraiture and photography.

This copy is personally signed by Kishin Shinoyama on the opening page.

The book is in very good condition.

The glossy cover retains a clean appearance with only minor signs of handling and age. The interior pages remain clean, with no significant folds, heavy staining, foxing or noticeable discolouration visible.
