新パリ画派の画家として、1948年にCasa Velázquez賞を、1950年にはローマ大賞を受賞する。その後1987年、海軍公式画家となる。油彩／キャンバス 65×100 サインは右下にあり。良好な保存状態だが、作品周囲にわずかな材質の欠損がある。

Peintre de la Nouvelle Ecole de Paris, il obtient le Prix de la Casa Velazquez en 1948 ainsi que le Grand Prix de Rome en 1950.  Il devient peintre officiel de la Marine en 1987.
