Oud mannelijk Niombo knielend figuur van het Yombe-volk dat leeft in Congo.
Ex collectie Samir Borro, een bekende verzamelaar uit Brussel.
Nu reeds lang in mijn persoonlijke collectie.

Materialen: hout, glas, pigment, vezels, textiel, metaal, raffia, hars, tukulapoeder.

Deze beelden, met de handen op de rug gebonden, stellen soms overwonnen vijanden of misdadigers voor, die onder de rechtspraak van de chief (Mfumu) vielen. 
In veilingcatalogi worden deze beelden vaak simpelweg als "slaven" gelabeld.

Ogen achter glas, open mond met 2 tanden, spijkers die tranen voorstellen.
