それらの多様な形状（ナイフ／剣／単なる武器を象徴する貨幣状の品物で、ナイフの先端のような形をしたものもある。これは同じ部族の槍の先端を参照しており、戦争と狩猟における力と権力を示す）
は、結婚の持参金として使用されていたことを示していた。
将来の新郎は『妻を買う』のではなく、贈り物に対して感謝を示していた。花嫁の両親がその礼を受けていた。
二重刃は、二人の結びつきを意味していた。二重刃の杖はさらに稀で、木製または鉄の柄に挿され、儀式とこの結びの神聖化の際に呪術者が身につけていた。
