Antique Pair of Carved Wooden Bedside Cabinets with Marble Tops

Elegant matching pair of antique bedside cabinets, made of solid wood and richly decorated with carved ornamentation, burr-wood panels and beautiful polychrome marble tops.

The cabinets feature an architectural and imposing design, with moulded frames, carved side pilasters and decorated front panels. The carving includes floral and foliate motifs, geometric ornamentation and decorative details executed with considerable depth and craftsmanship.

The tops are fitted with polychrome marble, displaying attractive beige, pinkish and brown tones with natural veining. The marble slabs have shaped, slightly overhanging edges and contribute significantly to the luxurious appearance of the pair.

Each cabinet has one upper drawer and a lower cupboard compartment with a door, fitted with period-style metal handles and hardware. The central door panels are decorated with beautifully figured burr wood, showing an exceptionally rich natural grain pattern.

The cabinets stand on turned bun-style feet, adding both elegance and visual stability.

The backs and undersides show more pronounced signs of age and traditional construction. The feet also show age-related wear. The marble retains its natural aged character with minor irregularities and signs of use.
