益子の国際的に最も評価の高いスタジオ陶芸家の一人が作った、コンパクトで釉が厚く施されたオリベ酒器の徳利。
石頭瓷で素地を成形し、高内の署名入りオリベ釉で仕上げられたこの小さな徳利は、ファセット状で手彫りの表面を深く不均一に流れる緑色が、縁の部分で暖かい黄土色と鉄の色調を滲ませる。
不規則なファセットが胴体全体に光を拾い、控えめなサイズにもかかわらず強い彫刻的存在感を生み出す——これは高内のスタジオ作品の特徴で、ヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館からパリやデンマークの美術館に至るまで国際的に展示されてきた。

高内修悟（1937年生）は、東京生まれのスタジオ陶芸家で、1968年に栃木県益子に窯を開いた。彼の作品は日本伝統工芸展や日本陶芸展に選出され、国際的にはロンドンのヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館、フランスのヴァローリス国際ビエンナーレ、デンマークやパリの美術館で展示された。作品は東京国立近代美術館など日本の主要機関のコレクションに収蔵されている。
