オリベ釉花瓶（花入れ／Hanaire） by 鈴木五郎 ― 完品木箱付き
国際的に高く評価される陶芸家・鈴木五郎による高身長の円筒形花瓶。鮮やかなオリベ緑釉が流れ、凸凹のある表面に広く広がって混ざり合う。銅緑釉の深い帯が素焼きの地肌の上に滲み、水平のリッジで刻まれた質感と対比を作り出す。苔むした樹皮を連想させる大胆で絵画的な色と質感の相互作用が、現代日本陶芸の最も独自性と表現力を持つ声の一つとしての作家の名声を示している。木箱付き。
【作家プロフィール】
鈴木五郎（生年 1941年）は愛知県豊田市出身。1961年の日展に入選、同年朝日陶芸展知事賞を受賞、1962年には優秀賞、1966年には大賞を受賞。1963年にはアジア美術陶芸展に出展、1971年には日中国際陶芸展で奨励賞を受賞。国際的な経歴には、1969–70年の米国陶芸研修とロサンゼルスでの個展、1975年の朝日陶芸展75周年賞受賞後のロードアイランドデザイン学校（Rhode Island School of Design）への就任、1982年のクランブローク美術学院での客員就任がある。1998年には米国フランク・ロイド・ギャラリーでの個展を開くほか、日本各地の百貨店やギャラリーで幅広く展覧している。
