古いアンカス、または象の鞭で、恐らくインドまたは南アジア起源、全長約52 cm。
美しい装飾品としての一品で、明るい木材の柄を中心に、複数の金属要素と環で装飾されています。上部にはアンカスの特徴的な形状が現れ、直線の先端と大きな曲がりくねった爪、そして象を連想させるスタイライズドな動物モチーフが金属装飾の中に組み込まれています。
物は全体的に美しい patina を示し、堅牢で良好に保たれています。柄の中央にある装飾的な環には僅かな遊びがあります。装飾の要素の一部には金属部が途切れている、あるいは切断されている箇所もあり、これは古い欠損なのか元の設計なのか判断が難しいです。正確な状態は多数の写真をご確認ください。
金属は銅系合金、タイプはブロンズまたは黄銅の可能性がありますが確定はしていません。
