A striking and substantial vase of classic tianqiuping form, with a generously proportioned bulbous body rising to a tall, straight neck and slightly flared mouth — balanced and elegantly proportioned. The exterior is enveloped in a rich, saturated Langyao oxblood glaze of deep, luminous crimson, subtly streaked and textured with fine vertical variations typical of the technique. The glaze deepens to intense ruby tones at the shoulder and body, gently fading into a pale, creamy straw-yellow transition at the neck and rim — the characteristic "Langyao white mouth" effect. The glaze has a high, lustrous finish, pooling thickly around the contours. An impressive and powerfully coloured example of this highly prized glaze.
