コンゴ民主共和国のテケ族マトンバ像。テケ族が刻んだ像は、膝をわずかに曲げた脚、直角に曲げられた腕に囲まれた円柱状の胴体、典型的な線状の facial scarification（顔の刻み痕）と梯形の髭を持つ頭部が特徴です。身長は15〜80 cmの範囲で変化し、個体として、または共同体全体を象徴するものとして用いられることがあります。
状態は良好で、軽い摩耗の痕跡が見られます。
