Second Natureは、キャンバス全体で黒い躍動、土のようなテラコッタ色、暖かい黄土色、オフホワイトが衝突する、層を重ねた抽象的な構成です。断片的な形、ざっくりと描かれた構造がマスクや人影、物体、符号を示唆しますが、決して完全には識別可能にはなりません。

scratched lines, exposed layers and deliberately raw passages give the work an archaeological quality, as though different images have accumulated and partially disappeared over time. The result is energetic and instinctive, balancing graphic strength with a weathered, tactile surface.

The painting is executed in acrylic on cotton canvas and will be shipped carefully rolled in a sturdy protective tube.

About the Artist

MiLo (1976) is a Dutch contemporary artist based in Amsterdam. His work moves between abstraction and fragmented figuration, combining expressive mark-making with scratched and etched lines, layered surfaces and strong graphic forms. His paintings are held in private collections throughout Europe and internationally, including the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
