Handcrafted from rusty red travertine, “Coral” is a one-of-a-kind sculptural side table by Barcelona-based designer Josep Vila Capdevila. The natural stone undergoes a sulfuric acid treatment, a process that dissolves its organic content and exposes the raw mineral particles, resulting in enhanced textural depth and unique coloration.

Part of the acclaimed Vestiges Collection, this collectible piece reflects on material memory and temporal transformation, inspired by a post-apocalyptic vision where recovered fragments become symbols of resilience and hope. About the Designer:
Josep Vila Capdevila (b. 1974), founder of Aparentment, is a multidisciplinary designer from Barcelona. With a background in fashion, photography, advertising, and music, he debuted his first collection, Marblelous, in 2012 to critical acclaim. His work celebrates local production, bold materiality, and long-lasting noble materials, resulting in expressive, durable, and collectible design pieces.
