Condition:
Very good archaeological condition, preserved as found. The engraved decoration remains clear and well defined, with only minor edge wear and surface corrosion consistent with age. Rich natural green patina with areas of brown-red cuprite oxidation. No modern restoration apparent.
考古学的状態は非常に良好で、採取時のままの状態を保つ。彫刻装飾ははっきりと明瞭で、エッジの摩耗や表面の腐食は経年相応のごくわずかなものにとどまる。自然の深い緑色の錆青色（パティナ）と茶赤色のクパイト酸化の箇所が見られる。現代の修復は認められない。

Description:
A highly decorative Early Medieval bronze cuff bracelet, extensively hand engraved with a rich combination of geometric and figurative ornament.
初期中世のブロンズ製カフブレスレットとして非常に装飾性が高く、幾何学的要素と具象意匠を豊富に組み合わせて手彫りで施されている。

The broad outer surface is divided into several decorative fields containing lattice patterns, diagonal bands and ladder-like motifs, cross-shaped elements and repeated linear incisions.
広い外表面は、格子模様、斜め帯、はしご状のモチーフ、十字形要素、連続した直線切り込みなどを含むいくつもの装飾領域に分割されている。

Two registers appear to depict a strongly stylised zoomorphic or fantastic animal. The elongated body, angular head and hatched details create a dynamic composition.
二つの帯は、強くStylised（誇張的）な動物寓意的または幻想的な動物を描いているように見える。細長い胴体、角ばった頭部、斜線で陰影をつけたディテールが動的な構図を生み出している。

Two other decorative fields contain a particularly prominent cross-shaped motif framed within the surrounding geometric composition.

Crosses occur widely in the visual culture following the Christianization, while geometric cross forms also remained part of a broader ornamental vocabulary. On this bracelet the motif functions visually as one of several strong focal elements within the alternating decorative registers.
