An exceptional lot of two bottles of Penfolds Grange 2016, one of Australia’s most iconic and collectable wines, presented with their original Penfolds tissue paper.

Created by Max Schubert and produced without interruption since the experimental 1951 vintage, Grange is the ultimate expression of Penfolds’ multi-region, multi-vineyard blending philosophy. Officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia, it is regarded as a global benchmark among the world’s great age-worthy wines.

3% Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit was sourced from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Clare Valley and Magill Estate. The wine matured for 18 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads.

PRODUCER’S TASTING NOTES
Deep red with purple hues. Intense aromas of preserved fig, black plum, blackberry and liquorice, accompanied by notes of toasted meat, aniseed, dark chocolate and mocha. Full-bodied, concentrated and exceptionally long, with dark fruit, firm polished tannins and excellent freshness. Penfolds indicates a drinking window extending to 2065.
