Item Description
この花瓶は、高岡鋳物（高岡土塊）伝統の厚手の壁を持つ substantial な casts の花瓶で、山本鳳山二代の工房によって制作され、題名は「満月」です。

花瓶はフラスコのような印象的な形状をしており、肩を広く平らに広げた上部から細く広がる首が立ち、両側には小さな装飾穴が2つずつ開けられています。

本体は豊かな質感を持つ黒色の仕上げで、各面には lighter で銀色がかった金属の異なる丸い「満月」メダリオンが配され、力強い二色対比を生み出しています。

この種のトーンの多金属対比は、高岡鋳造の特徴であり、富山県高岡市に起源を持つ約400年の伝統で、重厚で高品質の青銅・銅合金の鋳造で知られています。

花瓶は明らかに以前に展示または使用された形跡がありますが、全体的には良好な状態を保っています。
この作品には箱は付属しませんのでご了承ください。

Artist Profile
This vase was made by the workshop of Yamamoto Hozan (山本鳳山), a family of Takaoka bronzeware (Takaoka-doki) makers in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture.
Yamamoto Hozan I (初代山本鳳山), born in 1878, founded the workshop in September 1908 and devoted himself to improving and developing Takaoka bronze casting and finishing techniques, as well as training the next generation of craftsmen.
Yamamoto Hozan II (二代山本鳳山), born in 1902, succeeded the family business and took on the name Hozan II.
On 10 November 1975, he was honoured as a meritorious contributor to the traditional crafts industry, a recognition designated by Japan's Minister of International Trade and Industry, around the time Takaoka-doki was officially recognised as a Japanese Traditional Craft.
Takaoka-doki itself dates back around 400 years and today accounts for roughly 90% of Japan's cast metal art objects, prized for its heavy, richly detailed castings and sophisticated use of surface patination and multi-metal colour contrasts, as seen in this vase's two-tone "full moon" motifs.
