1916年頃のエドワージアン時代から初期アールデコへの移行期に制作された、チェスターのJ.E.Sによる18Kゴールド・ピンクトルマリン＆ダイヤモンドのブローチ。
この elegant piece は、卓越した時代の職人技を示すとともに、金属に直接刻印された歴史的文献が豊富に付帯します。
デザインと設定：中心には、薄桜色の宝石（ピンクトルマリンまたはピンクサファイアを連想させる）を階段状にカットした長方形の石を、細かなミルグレインの縁で華やかに包み、上下には2つの幾何学的な菱形状の設定が左右対称に配置されています。各設定にはプラチナのトップを配し、繊細なアンティークカットのダイヤモンド・アクセントを留めています。ホールマークと来歴：ブローチの裏面には、英国の完全な刻印セットが鮮明に打刻されています。
王冠と「18」：18カラットの金純度を保証。
チェスター鑑定所マーク：三枚の麦の穂と剣の紋章（1962年以降閉鎖された事務所で、コレクターに人気）。
日付文字「q」（または「r」）：製造年を正確に1916/1917年（第一次世界大戦期）に特定。
