水戸部門である松井孝成作 — 日本の重要無形文化財指定を受けた living treasure による、繊細な象嵌装飾を施した穏やかなセラドン釉瓶。
丸みを帯びて膨らむボディは、控えめで静かなセラドン釉で仕上げられ、ネックから胴にかけて白い縦の細い線が象嵌（ザゴン＝埋込）技法で入れられている。規則的でありながら穏やかなこのリズムは、器の立体感を際立たせ、抑制された色調が作品に落ち着きと瞑想的な質感を与える。整然とした、均整の取れた口縁は、全体に静かな品格を加える。
【作家プロフィール】
松井孝成（1927–2003）は長野県出身で、明治大学文学部を卒業。1957年に言成寺の住職となり、1960年には寺院敷地内に窯を築き、禰宜寺窯を復興させた。1962年から練上げ（ねりあげ＝大理石状の粘土）と象嵌技法の研究に専念し、1968年には田村幸一の師事を受ける。1976年には「練上げ城法」や「泰治」などの独自の装飾様式を確立。1993年には練上げの重要無形文化財保持者として重要無形文化財に指定される。日本工芸会の正会員として、主要な伝統工芸展の審査員も務めた。松井孝成の作品は現在生産されていない。これは限定された作家活動の集積である。

excellent。瓶自体には欠損はなし。付属の友箱（作家署名入り木箱）には年相応の損耗：蓋の内縁に軽微な接着剤残留、蓋のわずかな反り、染みがみられる。小冊子（しおり）も付属。
