京都の陶芸家。陶工 Morino Kako (1879–1987) の息子。京都芸術大学で学ぶ。1960年代にシカゴ大学で陶芸を教えた。ヘルバート F. Johnson美術館(コーネル大学)のコレクションや、日本・米国のいくつかの公共コレクションに作品が収蔵されています。現代日本陶芸の重要な人物であり、抑制された形と抽象的な装飾で知られています。

Kyoto ceramist. Son of potter Morino Kako (1879–1987). Trained at Kyoto University of Arts. Taught ceramics at the University of Chicago in the 1960s. Works held in the collection of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art (Cornell University) and in several public collections in Japan and the United States. A major figure in contemporary Japanese ceramics, known for his restrained forms and abstract decoration.
