Magnificent and unique solid wood panel carved entirely by hand, crafted within the tradition of monastic workshops with a strong medieval inspiration. The piece features a rich sacred art iconography enhanced by a dark, burnished wood patina that accentuates the depth of the reliefs.
​The structure is divided into vertical registers of remarkable sculptural quality:
​Upper Finial: Pilgrim's scallop shell (venera), a powerful devotional and Jacobean symbol.
​Apostle Registers: Niches with trilobed arches and twisted columns housing the figures of the Apostles. A wonderful detail is the individualization of each apostle through subtle variations in hand gestures and attributes.
​Central Register: Majestic representation of Christ in Majesty (Salvator Mundi) seated within a mystic mandorla, flanked by the symbols of the Four Evangelists (Tetramorph) and zoomorphic details at the base.
​Exceptional & Rare Detail: In one of the lower registers, breaking away from conventional iconography, the panel uniquely depicts Judas hanged, a striking and extremely rare narrative element in devotional reliefs of this kind.
