Marcin Pawlik - Keyhole 3D (Hand-painted picture)

Marcin Pawlik – Keyhole

Unique piece (1/1) – original work created exclusively in a single, non-reproducible copy.

Artistic Description
Keyhole is a hypnotic fusion of portrait painting and dimensional sculptural construction. The artist explores themes of voyeurism, intimacy, and mystery, placing the viewer in the role of a quiet observer peering through a narrow aperture into a private world of emotion.

At the core of the piece lies a hyper-realistic, hand-painted fragment of a woman's face, executed on canvas mounted on a sturdy panel using top-grade artistic paints. The viewer’s attention is instantly captivated by the magnetic, deep gaze and delicate details—glistening moisture on sun-kissed skin, stray strands of hair, and vivid, glossy lips.

Positioned recessed inside a custom 4 cm deep box, the artwork creates a striking 3D optical effect: changing the viewing angle reveals different facets of the face, while the piercing eye creates the uncanny sensation of following the observer across the room.

The elaborate frame elevates the artwork into an exceptional sculptural object. Both the heavy, solid box construction and the intricate, ornamental relief overlay were conceived and crafted entirely by the artist himself. The contrasting, lace-like black-and-white mask forming the silhouette of a keyhole, embellished with lush floral patterns and decorative corner elements, acts as an ornate portal into the artwork. The massive, robust build lends the work substantial physical and visual weight, completing a truly collector-grade showpiece.
